21 More Habits to Develop to Improve Personal Life

Habits -they make or break us.  It has been said that habit is either the best of servants or the worst of masters. It must be carefully chosen and cultivated . In the previous post, there were 21 suggested habits to improve your personal life.

Here are 21 more habits to develop. Enjoy.

  1. Commit to excellence in every endeavor.
  2. Believe in the best outcome possible.
  3. Give a hug to each of your children every day.
  4. Sleep early.
  5. Eliminate junk food.
  6. Cut down TV time and other passive time wasters.
  7. Put off procrastination. Take action. Create a to do list and strike off each one regularly.
  8. Visualize and thinking about your task at hand for just 15 seconds. According to the 15 second principle, it takes just 15 seconds –even thinking or dreaming about our goal to lead us closer to take action..
  9. Pay attention to your emotional health. Eliminate negative emotions of anger, doubt, fear, worry. Deliberately incorporate gratitude, laughter, joy, peace, blessings.
  10. Be 100% present at a task at hand. Finish the task before moving on the next. Studies have shown this is the most efficient. Take a break if you have to.
  11. Pay yourself first – save a portion of your earning for yourself regularly. Then learn to grow your assets.
  12. Give to the less fortunate – set aside a portion of your assets for this. It is giving and givers receive. In more ways than one.
  13. Regularly take stock of your finances, and plan accordingly. Eliminate bad debt, and you may accumulate good debt, chosen wisely.
  14. Regularly take stock of your life directions, and refresh the direction of your sail. It could be in the same direction. But at least you have looked at it.
  15. Regularly communicate your feelings in important relationships- don't bottle them in.
  16. Live and let live.
  17. Exercise regularly.
  18. Schedule time for peace and quiet to be by yourself.
  19. Help someone less (or more) fortunate than yourself.
  20. Not losing your spontaneity when you need to. Like when an opportunity arises that interrupts your daily routine- heck go for it, like when a friend drops by. Or when you just want to go out for a walk.
  21. Laugh, cry, and feel, when you have to, with another person. It is the heart of empathy, and personal communication in essence.
